Theme of the week: heartwarming relationships and entertaining companionship

Hey guys,

Dont know how many of you still reading... some new entrants.. hope you have somethings to add in.. LOL.. but before any of that a big shout out to Kools beta.. miss our daily discussions.. hoping your application process is going good..

So coming to the topic for the week.. or things that kept me hooked, moved, introspective, involved and finally entertained through the week.. the interesting web of relationships and equations..

First mention would defo go to the really involving story-telling of the week.. Parvarish.. just caught up on all 5 epis at a go.. and seriously I am liking each and every bit of the show.. a simple representation of such real reactions and equations between parents and children.. Munira if you are reading, after R.com I think we found our magic.. the detailed observation and changing terms between a child and his/her parent is amazingly well done. .and I am enjoying it more now.. coz I am at an age.. where I can see both the parent's and child's dilemma.. I bow down to the actors esp Swetha Tiwari, Vivek Mushran. they were the show stealers of the week.. Shweta's command on Sweety ji is work of art really.. her easy portrayal of the comically eccentric with heart and mind at the right place of Sweety is a winner.. I cant pinpoint at one scene of hers.. coz her entire presence from the lil HAIN.. and hayeee to the convo with her dad to the alarm clock to cooking machine comments.. and the epic. .jo jee mein aye karo are perfection... One can probably see their mom in every bit..I teared up almost missing mine on some instances.. esp the there is no sunday in a mother's life.. how matter of fact is her portrayal.. but my fave remains the scene btw Lucky jee and Rocky.. ufff Vivek Mushran- another class act from the hen-pecked husband to the knows his game.. and takes control of his family .. his convo with rocky where he tells him the ugly truths of life in the capitalist society yet striking a balance with one's conscience was a masterpiece really. .the shameful proclamation of dealing in bribery.. but can't bear to dwell in forgery.. amazing.. the LOOK he gives rocky.. saying I'll kill myself if you ever think of illegit means.. that scene had a CHARACTERISTIC father son equation written all over it.. heck I know my father and bro share tht kinda no-nonsense.. but serious emotions if something serious happens kinda equation too..

Sweety's convo with her dad.. made me smile at the turn of equations once kids grow up and also see what my mom keeps re-iterating.. how easy it was for them to understand their parents than understand their kids.. but the realization that your parents and their parenting styles was just as experimental.. and although you looked up to them thinking they could never go wrong.. but find out as a parent they were as scared and doubtful as you are now.. AMAZING.. the whole parenting topic has a lot of scope and am sooo happy each little layer is being dealt with in a rather simple manner.. cant help point out Raavi's and Pinky's equation.. LMAO I so see my mom and me in them sometimes.. esp the exposure scene..where she tells her abt Ginny and is constantly asking do you get it.. and Pinky goes into some other tangent.. like does ginny smoke.. ROFL.. I saw my mom there.. you cant help but hug them.. somethings are just beyond their comprehension. .I remember one time me and my cousin were insistent to show our moms the pub culture so after dinner in a five star we just made them peep into one across from there.. after all of 10 mins of intent observation of the misdemeanor and atmosphere of that place. .they meekly come out and mom goes to her cousin.. I think we just witness hell.. ROFL.. epic comment we still laugh at it.. they seriously do not see the pleasure ppl get amidst ton of smoke and high decibels..

The shaadi atmosphere and nitty gritty detailing in EHM reminded me of my bro's wedding. .and I shared some anecdotes of the chaos and parent's paranoia during the proceedings in the forum.. the sister bond shown is still endearing in bits and pieces.. the hallmark this week was defo the Kal Ho Na Ho moments.. from the minute Jeevika opens her eyes and notices her sis intently watching the proceedings with a glint in her eyes.. already dreading the time transpiring and moment of separation.. and the min their eyes meet.. she smiles and acts festive.. the words that were meant for lovers fit so well for the 2 sisters..

tum bhi ho gham ko chupaye.. main bhi hoon sar ko jhukaye..
tum bhi chup ho.. main bhi chup hoon.. kaun kisey samjhaye..

re-iterating excerpts from my post

the understanding of each other's turmoil and the sublime submission to it.. coz thts life..very subtle.. yet very deep..suddenly in tht one moment it feels like the whole world comes btw them.. and Life is giving omens.. of the big change that they have no other option but to accept... with a heavy heart.. yet with the bitter sweetness.. Unlike Manvi I feel the multiplicity of emotions in Jeevika are tough.. where on one side she is slightly excited to be married to the guy she has come to admire but at the cost of distance from her soul.. the sister she has mothered  all life.. Manvi at least can be loyal to her feelings of pain.. Jeevika is split.. the Chaudhury family moments at the dinner table.. with the light sadness.. everyone crying and laughing together.. was a pleasant watch.. thats the USP of the show.. no story.. just the screenplay.. cant help not mention my fave bro-bro equation bit on friday.. LOL Virat singing Haldi chandan lagaye meri sakhiya to Viren was hilarious..

talking of hilarious I come to the entertaining section I referred to.. the actors of the show.. good lord.. KT hit his co-stars and me.. with his plethora of lukkha, chichora punjabi humor.. where as Kushal reminded me of the sadakchaap visarjan/ baraat dance.. their offscreen segs are even better if not at par with the show's feel goodness.. its refreshing to see KD being such a sport at KTs constant randomness about honeymoon, suhaag raats and babies.. LOL and the constant flirting.. he is one bag of testosterone for sure.. ROFL.. and it really doesnt help the girl that she looks drop dead gorgeous in the bridal outfit... She in some places reminds me of Rani Mukherjee.. may be the eyes.. the offscreen segs are a real scream.. that guy is extremely entertaining.. and a complete contrast from the shy sober Viren he plays deftly on screen.. very subtle change of expressions.. makes even a cheesy mundane moony scene look good.. defo one of the better younger actors.. and an entertaining company to have at work..

A total mixed bag of nice stuff this week.. to keep me entertained.. sometimes emotional.. I guess coz I know I am not going home and will have to pass meeting my family for another yr for now..

summing up with the lines of this song.. dedicated to my family..

Miles and miles of empty space in between us.. A telephone cant take the place of your smile..
Its not easy when the road is a driver.. but you know I wont be travelling a lifetime..

EHM seems like a gud show too. BTW again I can so relate 2 d sis bondings. I don't think u know, but I hv a twin sis. I adore her though our personalities r totally different. Also m close 2 both my sis nd bro too, as amongst d 4 of us, hv just 5 yrs. of age differnece, wid us twins in d middle! So our roles keep getting swapped. Also as we all stay in different cities, (in fact both my sis r in d same city nd their homes a stone's throw frm one another)nd busy wid family life, so our communication is minimal, but still d bond is der.

I haven't yet read ur SS, but want 2 gv it d proper attn, instaed of just browsing thru, so tht will be d first thing i'll be doing once Muharram is over nd dat is day after tomorrow!

BTW was so happy to see ur post as was missing d communication.:) So r u sufficiently destressed or is work still gving u d blues?

So Is EHM forum in terms of discussion posts.. but some of us friends just randomize tons in tht forum.. just for fun sake.. but off late have found a lot of silent MB watchers.. who apparently read my posts.. LOL.. and keep talking abt it.. ROFL..few of them took to EHM also after MB.. I guess its the timing.. MB ended and EHM started.. LOL
